The mother of an army sergeant and the mother of a deputy school director refuse to believe their children — who are first cousins — engaged in an affair, after the sergeant's wife filed a legal complaint with the Kanchanaburi Lawyers Council.
On October 29, 2026, Ms. A (pseudonym), 41, sought assistance from the Kanchanaburi Provincial Lawyers Council's Legal Aid Center after discovering her husband, a Master Sergeant with the 9th Infantry Division at Surasri Camp in Kanchanaburi, was having an affair with a woman who holds the position of deputy school director. The woman is also the sergeant's first cousin (the daughter of his mother's younger sister).
The wife had placed a GPS tracker on her husband's vehicle before following and catching them together at a hotel in Thong Pha Phum district.
Recently, reporters traveled to Satuek district, Buriram province, to speak with Ms. B (pseudonym), 59, the deputy director's mother. Ms. B revealed that her daughter and the sergeant are relatives born in the same year, and she does not believe the affair allegations are true. Regarding the intimate details of their personal relationship, she stated she is unaware.
Meanwhile, Ms. C (pseudonym), 62, the sergeant's mother (Ms. B's older sister), disclosed that the two grew up together as close siblings. Personally, she does not believe they had an improper relationship as reported, noting the case remains only allegations from the wife's side.
Ms. A (the wife) is proceeding with legal action through the Lawyers Council against both the deputy director and her husband, asserting their behavior constitutes not only civil servant misconduct but also a serious breach of morality. She confirmed there will be no negotiation whatsoever.
