Assistant Police Chief Leads Patrol Check in Phitsanulok
Police Lt. Gen. Tri Rong Phuphan led the 'W.4 Samban' patrol check across police stations in Regions 5 and 6, visiting Phitsanulok on October 7, 2026. The activity aimed to supervise officers, boost morale, and deter crime through visible police presence. Recent checkpoints in Phitsanulok led to six arrests and the seizure of drugs, weapons, a car and a phone.
Tri Rong Phuphan visited all provincial police offices in Regions 5 and 6, with the Phitsanulok Provincial Police hosting the event in front of Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat Woramahawihan on Buddha Bucha Road, in the city district. Phitsanulok Provincial Police Commander Police Maj. Gen. Thapphaset Khuan Kaeo attended the activity, which included officers from the Mueang Phitsanulok Police Station, tourist police, evidence division, and joint task units currently on duty. Other areas participated via an online system. Tri Rong Phuphan said the activity is a routine part of crime prevention duties, requiring commanders at all levels to visit subordinates while they are on duty to boost morale, hear performance reports, identify problems, and prepare for normal deployment. He noted that sometimes the activity includes assembling on-duty personnel as a show of force to deter crime. Phitsanulok police have set up spider-web style checkpoints to crack down on crime, focusing on drug and weapons offenses. Recent operations resulted in the arrest of six suspects, seizure of 43 methamphetamine tablets, 1.16 grams of ice, one car, and one mobile phone. Checkpoints will continue across all areas to prevent offenses and protect the public. Tri Rong Phuphan emphasized the need to prepare patrol units, assign zones, supervise patrols, analyze crime trends, monitor former offenders, and closely supervise subordinates at every rank.
