Bangkok MP Clarifies TikTok Clip Sharing Context
Bangkok MP Jaruyut Chaturaprasit has released chat logs to clarify he only shared a TikTok clip in response to a journalist's questions, not to leak damaging information. The clip showed an assistant of fellow Prachachon Party MP Ratchanok Srinok, and a TV host had claimed Jaruyut was the source. Jaruyut insists he did not know whose assistant the person was at the time and had no malicious intent.
Bangkok MP Jaruyut Chaturaprasit of the Prachachon Party posted on Facebook on October 22, 2026, regarding the case where TV host Sarayut Sutthasinajinda revealed on his show 'Rueang Lao Chao Nee' the source of a TikTok clip showing an assistant of party-list MP Ratchanok Srinok. The clip allegedly came from Jaruyut, who sent it to a journalist.
Jaruyut provided clarification along with relevant chat logs. He stated he sent the TikTok link to a journalist, and the attached screenshots show the context in which the link was shared. He explained that on October 7, a journalist messaged him asking about internal party situations, then asked if he had seen a clip showing party staff confronting Piyabutr Saengkanokkul, secretary-general of the Move Forward Party. Jaruyut asked which clip, then sent a link back asking if that was the one. When the journalist asked who the person in the clip was an assistant for, Jaruyut replied he did not know. As shown in the conversation, he did not identify the person as Ratchanok's assistant because he was unaware at the time.
Jaruyut stated this context should be presented alongside information about who sent the link. The journalist asked about the clip first, then he sent the link to confirm it was the same clip. As for where the clip went afterward, he does not know. He acknowledged that Sarayut later emphasized on the show he did not mean to imply Jaruyut was a 'natacha' (informant). However, using his image alongside others and past events to discuss party conflicts and informants could lead viewers to infer his intentions, necessitating clarification.
"I confirm that sending the link at that time had no intention of harming anyone or damaging the party, and I discussed this with Ice on October 8 already. I ask that Sarayut present this conversation so viewers know the full context, because saying who sent the link should also explain what question they were answering," Jaruyut stated.
