Thai luk thung singer Pla Kanokporn from Grammy Gold has released "Bo Hu Tae Kap Ngo," the third single from her album "Ee La Paradise." The slow Isan-style heartbreak song tells the story of a woman deceived by a man who stole her buffalo breeding formula for a rival, leaving her to take the blame in the relationship. Pla explains the song captures her signature heartbreak style with her distinctive husky voice and vocal ornaments in each verse.
Each track on the album has a different flavor, Pla says. The first was an upbeat dance number with modern production, while this third single returns to traditional Isan luk thung roots. Recording proved challenging due to similar melodies and lyrics across verses, requiring some lyric adjustments.
The music video features a prize-winning buffalo named Big from Buriram as the male lead. Pla, working with an animal for the first time, spent two days bonding with the buffalo before filming. Initially terrified of the massive animal, she gradually built trust with guidance from the farm owner. The buffalo cooperated well throughout the shoot.
Pla expresses gratitude for the positive reception, noting this album gave her the chance to act in her own music videos. Having been in the industry for only about two years, she calls joining Grammy Gold a dream come true.
