BEM Gets Social Impact Certificate from Thai Institute
BEM, the operator of Bangkok's expressways and metro, has received the Social Impact Footprint certification from the Thai Development Institute. The award, presented to Deputy Managing Director Alvin Ji, recognises the firm’s compliance with GRI Standards for assessing social impact. BEM says the certification reflects its commitment to responsible business practices and sustainable growth that benefits people and communities.
Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited (BEM) received the Social Impact Footprint (SIF) certification from the Thai Development Institute, confirming its compliance with GRI Standards for business social impact evaluation. Alvin Ji, Deputy Managing Director, accepted the award from Woranat Pieratham, Director of the Thai Development Institute. BEM stated that the certification underscores its dedication to assessing and monitoring social impacts systematically, using the data to improve operations and enhance positive outcomes. The company added that sustainable growth must go hand in hand with caring for people, society, and communities, and it will continue to advance its CSR strategy through initiatives that meet societal needs, improve quality of life, and benefit surrounding neighborhoods, aiming to build stronger communities and support long‑term, stable growth.
