Channel 7HD is set to air the action-comedy drama "Mae Jom Kwan," produced by Dida Video Production. The series stars Big Nattharatchai Charasmad in his first dual-role challenge as twins Arun and Sai-anh, paired with rising actress Minchi Suttathan Thongsombun as the titular Jom Kwan.
The supporting cast includes Pam Suchanuch Supathamwong (Kraten), On Akarawat Jumponwivat (Sam-ang), Grace Harper (Muay), Dew Nopphadol Sanwanphakdee (Den), Pond Ophaphumi Chittapan (Saman), Som-O Chompunut Phungphon (Swing), and numerous other actors.
"Mae Jom Kwan" is based on a script by Chuwong Chaiyajinda, with teleplay by Phon Phongphat, and directed by Sayam Sangwaribut and Prathum Mitraphakdi. The story revolves around the protection of the Makham Thon village and the precious secrets of Jom Kwan (Minchi Suttathan), a brave young woman who fights against a gang of bandits. Meanwhile, Sai-anh (Big Nattharatchai), a kind-hearted young man, faces a dramatic turn of events when he must disguise himself as his twin brother Arun (also Big Nattharatchai), the influential village headman who was attacked and left for dead by enemies. As Sai-anh assumes Arun's identity to uncover the truth, the mission becomes fraught with danger and suspense, with Jom Kwan becoming a crucial ally in taking down the villains. Amidst complex schemes, a dangerous disguise that must remain secret, and a slowly blossoming bond, the story evolves into a captivating romance.
Lead actor Big Nattharatchai revealed the challenges of playing twins: "This role is challenging because it's my first time playing dual characters. Arun and Sai-anh have completely opposite personalities. The difficulty lies in portraying each character distinctly so viewers can immediately tell who is Sai-anh and who is Arun, especially when Sai-anh disguises himself as Arun — that's even harder. For the investigation, I have to pose as many professions, including a boxer and a dancer, which is fun because it develops my acting skills. I'm not worried working with Minchi and Pam — they're both lovely and professional."
Lead actress Minchi Suttathan shared: "I play Jom Kwan, a brave woman ready to fight for justice. This is my first time doing full-on action scenes. Beyond script preparation, the production sent me for Muay Thai training to perform correctly on set. The atmosphere on set is very warm — Director Sayam (Uncle Lord) and Director Prathum (Ae Tum) are so kind. We can freely suggest acting ideas, making work easier. Big and I have been close since fitting — he's very friendly and easy to work with."
