Bowkylion Releases New Single With Janis in Girl Love Story
Pop artist Bowkylion releases "Hourglass (sign)," a new single featuring actress Janis in a girl love story music video that uses the hourglass as a metaphor for relationships in decline and reconciliation.
BOWKYLION (Bowkylion), the stage name of Boke Nichada Verasuthimaas, is a contemporary pop artist from What The Duck Records known for multiple viral singles. Earlier this year, she announced her second solo concert "KARAWA CONCERT" at Impact Arena in Muang Thonburi, which sold out within a single day due to overwhelming demand.
Beyond music, Bowkylion recently starred in the film "Khang Ban," which grossed over 100 million baht and marked her successful transition into acting. She also collaborated on the theme song "Dang Jai Fan" for the period fantasy BL series "Lop Thoe: Love Upon a Time Series" by Doomindie, blending traditional Thai vocals and instruments in a contemporary style that became another viral hit.
Her latest release, "Hourglass (sign)," continues this exploration of Thai musical identity. The single uses the hourglass as a metaphor for relationships in decline. Unlike regular clocks, hourglasses can be flipped to restart, mirroring how love often restarts after moments of ending. The lyrics explore how forgiveness becomes a shield against pain while the underlying issues remain unhealed, causing relationships to gradually dissolve like sand slipping away.
The song's pop arrangement incorporates contemporary Thai musical elements through its melody, showcasing a musical direction Bowkylion has not previously explored. The lyrical sophistication, combined with the music, deepens the emotional impact. The music video features actress Janis Janesita portraying a touching girl love narrative, creating compelling chemistry that invites audiences to follow along.
