For Paibuol Seerak, 56, a patient at Lopburi Cancer Hospital, learning that she had breast cancer was devastating. She recounted that she initially went for screening at a private hospital, where the doctor noted an unusual mass requiring a biopsy. When the results confirmed breast cancer, she felt her heart sink. She could only embrace her family and cry. Despair flooded in, and questions raced through her mind: would she survive, would she find a caring doctor, and would she live? But once she began treatment with her doctor, everything began to fall into place. Her physician repeatedly encouraged her to be strong and fight together, while her family remained constantly supportive.
Elsewhere, anxiety fell on the family of Lieb Ploy Prasong, 89, also a patient at Lopburi Cancer Hospital, who was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Though he remained calm about his diagnosis, his grandson Kittipoom Suknanrang was deeply worried when he first learned of his grandfather's illness. His immediate concern was how to manage the costs and care. When relatives recommended Lopburi Cancer Hospital and he made contact, he discovered something far better than expected: his grandfather could access treatment anywhere under the Cancer Anywhere scheme. Kittipoom noted that in an era when cancer strikes quickly and at any age, having treatment available anywhere made everything more convenient and allowed faster management of the situation. He urged anyone who suspects they or a loved one may have cancer to seek screening and treatment as soon as possible, as early detection brings greater peace of mind.
