Thailand's taekwondo team departed for Nagoya, Japan on September 20. Yokyek, a well-known Thai entertainer, shared the image to show support and encouragement before Yu's journey. The post stated: "Coming to see off my younger brother to hunt medals in Japan. Please cheer for us all." Yu and Yokyek are related through marriage—Yu's sister is married to the comedian. Taekwondo competition at the Asian Games will take place from October 1-3, 2025. The athletes will train in Osaka, Japan before moving into the athletes' village on September 28.
