Community Department Expands OTOP Market to Urban Centers with "OTOP TO THE TOWN" Campaign Across 5 Major Shopping Malls
The Community Development Department launched "OTOP TO THE TOWN," a campaign promoting traditional Thai products in five major Bangkok shopping malls from May through July 2025, featuring over 600 producer groups from across the country.
Siam Sirimongkol, Director-General of the Community Development Department, presided over the opening ceremony of "OTOP TO THE TOWN," a campaign designed to expand sales channels for OTOP products in major department stores and urban business districts. The initiative was attended by Orjira Sirimongkol, President of the Community Development Women's Club, along with senior officials and relevant staff. The project aims to connect local wisdom products to urban markets while supporting OTOP producers and entrepreneurs with professional management and marketing skills training, promoting sustainable grassroots economy development in line with the philosophy of sufficiency economy. The campaign spans five locations: Central Rama 9 (May 14-18, 2025), CentralSalaya (May 21-25, 2025), Future Park Rangsit (June 3-7, 2025), Government Complex Chaengwattana Building B (June 8-12, 2025), and Central Westgate (July 1-6, 2025). The program brings together 4-5 star rated OTOP producer groups from 76 provinces nationwide, with at least 600 participating groups. The Community Development Department invites interested parties to support Thai products and create opportunities for communities.
