The husband and wife said they had been running errands in Khao Khew subdistrict, Thungsong district, when a group of acquaintances drove a white car and began tailing them, then opened fire on their vehicle. They fled from Khao Khew into Thungsong city, covering about 30 kilometres, before turning into the police station for help. Fortunately, the bullets did not hit them, but broken glass injured their heads and ears; the wife sustained cuts to her eyebrow and head from the glass. Police suspect the motive stems from a personal dispute and have identified the perpetrator. Officers are reviewing CCTV footage along the route to gather evidence for legal action.
