Daikin Teams With Health Ministry to Improve Classroom Air Quality
Daikin partnered with Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health to expand its dust‑free classroom model, installing advanced ventilation and filtration systems in early‑learning centres across four provinces. Indoor air quality improved dramatically, with PM2.5 levels dropping over 80% and CO₂ staying within safe limits. The initiative, showcased at a Bangkok forum in October 2069, aims to protect children’s health and concentration during prolonged pollution periods.
Daikin's "Perfecting the Air" approach integrates ventilation, air‑conditioning and filtration systems, using heat‑exchange ventilators that filter PM2.5 before outdoor air enters the rooms, working alongside real‑time air‑quality sensors. The project, developed with local health agencies, academic institutions and municipal authorities, created four prototype centres in Bangkok, Chiang Rai, Rayong and Nakhon Ratchasimai, serving over 200 children and 20 teachers. Measurements show indoor PM2.5 levels averaging 81% lower than outside, with CO₂ averaging 618 ppm, within Ministry of Health standards. Teachers can adjust classroom conditions instantly via sensor data, and the Huay Sor centre in Chiang Rai has become the first in northern Thailand to receive the Ministry's "dust-free classroom" certification.
