DDPM Clarifies Flood Relief Registration for Tenants
Thailand's Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation has clarified that tenants can register for flood relief using the actual house number they rent, even if they don't know the official registration code. For properties split into multiple rooms under a single house number, each tenant will receive aid after local officials verify occupancy and flood damage. Relief payments will be made to 10,453 households on October 9, with inquiries directed to the DDPM hotline 1784.
Tenants wondering how to register for flood relief assistance if they don't know their house registration number have been given clear guidance by the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM). Speaking at the Government House on October 7, 2026, DDPM's Director of Public Relations, Sirithorn Somsuvan, said tenants can simply enter the actual house number they occupy into the system for verification. For large single‑house properties that have been divided into multiple rental units, local officials and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration will inspect each unit; if genuine residence and flood impact are confirmed, every tenant is eligible for the same relief aid. The DDPM will transfer relief payments to 10,453 households on October 9. For further information, the public can call the DDPM hotline 1784, available 24 hours a day.
