Delta Compressor Launches Industrial Nitrogen Generator System
Delta Compressor launches Thailand's first industrial nitrogen generator with real-time monitoring, allowing factories to produce nitrogen in-house and cut costs from 15-20 baht per cubic meter down to roughly 5 baht.
Delta Compressor is expanding its industrial machinery technology into nitrogen generation systems, helping factories produce nitrogen in-house and reduce costs from external purchases. The company is the first in Thailand to offer real-time monitoring of nitrogen generators through its Delta Smart Application, similar to its air compressor monitoring system, enabling factories to check operational status continuously and gain confidence in efficiency, value, and long-term safety.
Thawatchai Atthapun, managing director of Delta Compressor (Asia) Limited, explains that nitrogen generators are critical support systems for industrial plants, particularly in food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, metal, steel, energy, and oil transport industries. Nitrogen plays an essential role in product quality, manufacturing processes, and safety.
For factories with continuous nitrogen needs, in-house production significantly reduces costs compared to external purchases. External nitrogen typically costs 15-20 baht per cubic meter, while Delta's in-house nitrogen generators can reduce costs to approximately 5 baht per cubic meter. This allows small factories to save up to 80% and large factories to save 60-65%.
"In-house nitrogen production not only reduces per-unit costs but also gives factories better control over consumption, reduces reliance on external delivery, and ensures production continuity," Thawatchai said. "This is especially valuable for factories with regular nitrogen needs in their production lines."
The nitrogen generator works with an air compressor by drawing air—which contains approximately 78-80% nitrogen—into the system, then separating oxygen and other gases to produce usable nitrogen for manufacturing processes.
Patcharpol Patcharavornwich, also managing director of Delta Compressor (Asia) Limited, notes that nitrogen is an inert gas with limited reactivity, making it valuable across industries. Food manufacturers use it to reduce oxygen exposure, slowing oxidation and extending product shelf life. Metal and steel workers use it to prevent rust, while oil transport systems use it to manage oxygen-related risks.
"Installing a nitrogen generator isn't just about equipment—it requires designing an entire system tailored to each factory's actual needs, including consumption volume, nitrogen quality, system continuity, and safety," Patcharpol said.
