Singer Kala Finds Peace Selling Bamboo Shoots After Retiring
Former singer Kala has found contentment selling fresh bamboo shoots at local markets after retiring from the music industry to prioritize family and simpler living.
Popular singer Kala has revealed his life since stepping back from performing to focus on family and personal pursuits. In a recent video, he shares how he now harvests and sells bamboo shoots at local markets. "We're harvesting bamboo shoots by the sackful to sell," he explained. "I love eating bamboo shoots but can't keep up with the supply, so I thought I'd sell them at the local weekend market instead."
After filling his sacks with freshly cut shoots, Kala set up a stall at the market, priced at 20 baht per piece. He said, "After quitting singing, life is actually very comfortable. Life doesn't need to be complicated." The bamboo shoots sold out quickly, with customers leaving comments praising their freshness and tenderness, asking him to bring more.
While some recognize the simplicity he's found, fans continue to visit his market stall expressing their hope that he'll return to performing music someday.
