Democrat Party Delivers Relief Supplies to Flood-Hit Bangkok Communities
Democrat Party leaders including Abhisit Vejjajiva delivered relief supplies to flood-hit Bangkok residents at Klong Chan housing estate, calling on the government to provide high-clearance vehicles for evacuations.
On September 27, Abhisit Vejjajiva led senior Democrat Party figures including Korn Chatikavanich, Kaladee Liaopairojanwong, and Chaichana Decha Deecho to the Klong Chan housing estate to visit flood-affected residents and distribute relief bags donated by Princess Seniiya Pramoch. The party aims to provide immediate assistance and boost morale during the crisis.
Abhisit said the Democrats were using high-clearance vehicles to deliver supplies that were assembled that morning. "We call on the government to send high-clearance vehicles to help residents travel in and out of the area, just as we are doing now," Abhisit stated. "We will also transport anyone who needs to get in or out. Once we arrive, we will report back on any additional needs the residents may have."
The relief effort came as the Democrat Party fielded former parliamentary candidates and senior leadership to support the flood relief operation.
