Deputy Interior Minister Jeeraset Unfazed by No-Confidence Motion
Deputy Interior Minister Jeeraset Thai‑set brushed off accusations that he lacks leadership, saying he is unfazed by the no‑confidence motion filed against him and 17 other ministers. Speaking at the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, he welcomed opposition scrutiny but urged it to stay focused on his official duties. He also expressed no concern that the Senate vote‑buying case would be dragged into the debate.
Jeeraset Thai‑set told reporters he feels nothing about being one of 18 ministers facing a no‑confidence debate under article 151, noting that earlier discussions have already mentioned him and he is ready to clarify any issue within proper limits. He said accusations of lacking leadership are not necessarily too harsh and that the opposition will likely point out shortcomings to help improve his work, but if questions stray from his official role he will answer truthfully. He added he would rather hear how he can increase his capacity to serve the public, laughed at the claim he lacks leadership by noting he holds a degree in leadership, and suspects the opposition may target popular government policies to create doubt. Jeeraset expressed no concern that the Senate vote‑buying case would be raised in the debate.
