Deputy PM Pakon Dismisses Vague No‑Confidence Accusations
Deputy Prime Minister Pakon Nitpaphorn dismissed the no‑confidence accusations against him as vague and emotional, saying they lack clear evidence. He denied supporting the Bhumjaithai Party, describing his role as a legal scaffolding for the government based on rule of law. Pakon said he remains unbothered and will leave office once his duties are complete.
Deputy Prime Minister Pakon Nitpaphorn reiterated that allegations of conflict of interest must be explained with specifics; vague claims give him nothing to answer. He denied being a member of the Bhumjaithai Party, saying his duty is to ensure the government does not break the law, as repeatedly instructed by the Prime Minister. Pakon described himself as a legal scaffolding for the government—and by extension for the nation—rather than a party supporter. He stressed that any allegations, whether civil, criminal, disciplinary or administrative, must be backed by evidence and referred to the relevant agencies for investigation, citing the ongoing local‑exam corruption cases forwarded to the NACC, PPC or Ministry of Interior. Pakon said he feels no anxiety about appearing on the list of 18 ministers, sleeps well, and will step down once his mission is finished.
