A drunk driver crashed his pickup truck through a house fence and damaged a parked sedan in Udon Thani on September 27, with the intoxicated driver admitting he was returning from a beer bar when he lost control at a narrow bend.
A pickup truck driven by an intoxicated driver crashed through the fence and wall of a rented house in Udon Thani province on the evening of September 27, 2025, causing severe damage to the property and a parked sedan. Video footage posted on Facebook by the property owner, Tui Archapol Bunlerts, showed the truck speeding before losing control and colliding with the fence and a nearby sedan at 11:27 p.m. The impact scattered brick fragments, mortar, and vehicle parts across the scene.
Kittan Kotraphakdi, 48, the car owner and renter of the house, was inside sleeping when he heard the engine noise and then a loud crash. Upon rushing outside, he found the pickup truck had smashed through the fence on one side of the house before its rear end struck the gate fence on the opposite side. Debris from the house damaged his sedan, cracking windows and denting the body and doors.
After the collision, the damaged pickup truck continued about 100 to 200 meters before stopping due to a cracked radiator. When Kittan spoke to the driver, he found him severely intoxicated. The driver admitted to having just come from a beer bar and was driving home, which was not far from the accident site. The pickup truck had no insurance.
The accident occurred at a narrow bend on a small road. Local residents mentioned superstitions about the three-way junction location, with some suggesting hidden forces or unseen events might be involved. However, this remains only personal belief with no evidence linking it to the cause. Police investigators confirmed preliminary mediation between the parties, with the driver accepting responsibility and agreeing to pay for all damage to the fence and Kittan's sedan.
