ECT Hosts Live Awards for Youth White Democracy Video Contest
The Election Commission will hold a live-streamed award ceremony on October 1, 2026 for its “White Democracy” video clip contest, showcasing works from students nationwide that promote honest and transparent democracy. The event includes screenings of winning entries, panel discussions with media experts and influencers, and a Mini Talk on creative communication. The Election Commission (ECT) is preparing a major event, live-streaming the award ceremony for its video clip contest under the “White Democracy” concept, an proactive campaign through innovative media and modern online society. It will take place on Thursday, 1 October 2026, starting at 10:00 a.m., broadcast live from the Phra Siwa Room at the Asawin Grand Convention Hotel, Lak Si District, Bangkok.
The event brings together outstanding ideas from high school/vocational and university students nationwide, expressing definitions and reflections of honest, transparent, neutral, and fair democracy through the perspective of the younger generation. Highlights include screening the winning video clips and a panel discussion featuring the contest judges: Ms. Boonreun Thaiwattana, Director of the Public Relations Office; Ms. Suchada Chokprasombat, Director of the Election Network Development Office; Mr. Dao Vorattrakul, Chief Operating Officer of ONE 31; Mr. Phon Thaveesak, Senior Manager of Creative Marketing and Branding at Channel 8; and Mr. Thanakorn Wongprachan, News Editor of Thai News at THE STANDARD, among others.
A Mini Talk session with influencers on the topic “Communicating Creatively to Build White Democracy” will feature Dr. Narekul Ketupraphakon (‘Doctor Frang’) and Mr. Thanaphat Suphawanawiwat (‘Jan Lo’). The ceremony will be presided over by Election Commissioner Anan Suwanrattan, with Secretary-General Saeng Bunmee of the ECT co-presenting the top prizes in each category.
