Three additional cases are being pursued by the Election Commission's Subcommittee 26 against groups linked to Forward Party, Move Forward, and independent senators over alleged violations of senate selection rules. The investigations are examining meeting arrangements by three groups: Forward Party senators at provincial and national levels, and independent senate candidates.
Election Commission Chair Narongchai Kaolwanwit announced on September 14 that only 77 defendants out of 427 accused individuals in the senate selection manipulation case would be prosecuted. However, commissioners Sithichoke Intrawisaet and Chaai Nakornjai dissented, arguing that evidence sufficiently supports charges against Pheu Thai party executives. The Subcommittee 26, chaired by Deputy Secretary-General Chanin Noi Lek and working with the Special Cases Investigation Department, identified 229 suspects in a major case spanning 75,722 pages of investigation documents.
Sources indicated concerns about the investigation's conduct, including heavy reliance on Special Cases Investigation Department personnel, acceptance of witness testimony from a Khon Kaen politician without corroborating evidence from party representatives, and failure to inspect the actual meeting venue at Jupiter Room, Impact Muang Thong Thani. An additional complaint regarding senate candidate meetings at that location has progressed slowly despite preliminary evidence of event sponsorship.
