Grand Sport unveiled the official Team Thailand uniforms for the 20th Asian Games under the concept "THREADS OF SPIRIT—Weaving Spiritual Threads as One," which conveys pride in Thai heritage through the fusion of Thai art and culture, shared Asian identity, and innovations in sports apparel to reflect the power, unity, and spirit of Thai athletes.
Vice Admiral Chaiyaphakdi Siriwan, Vice President of the Thai Olympic Committee under Royal Patronage, presided over the Grand Sport press conference unveiling the official Team Thailand uniforms and travel wear for the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, alongside Professor Charoem Wanthanasin, Vice President of the Thai Olympic Committee; Thana Chaipraseuth, Vice President and Secretary-General of the Thai Olympic Committee; Dr. Suwanna Silpaacha, Vice President of the Thai Olympic Committee; and Associate Professor Supit Somahito, Vice President of the Thai Olympic Committee, along with Olympic Committee members on August 5, 2569 at Search Studio Ramkhamhaeng 81.
The event was also graced by Yuthaya Chinhit, Director of Sports Excellence Development, Thailand Sports Authority; Chai Nimakon, Chairman of Grand Sport Group; Thara Preuksachaum, Chief Executive Officer of Grand Sport subsidiaries; Piramed Nimakon, Managing Director; and Pon Wongpattanasin, Deputy Managing Director, along with athletes, designers, celebrities, and media.
Vice Admiral Chaiyaphakdi Siriwan stated that on behalf of the Thai Olympic Committee, he thanked Grand Sport and all sectors for collaborating to create uniforms for Thai athletes competing in the 20th Asian Games. He expressed hope that this uniform collection would boost Thai athletes' confidence in performing their duties while reflecting creativity, potential, and Thai pride to the Asian audience, and urged all athletes to perform at their best with sportsmanship and honor in representing Thailand.
Thiti Preuksachaum, Vice Chairman of Grand Sport, explained that the uniform design followed the "THREADS OF SPIRIT—Weaving Spiritual Threads as One" concept, conveying unity among Asian people by blending the royal-granted "Bupha Brahm Rachinee" pattern, which was graciously bestowed by Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya to honor the late Queen Sirikit, who dedicated herself to preserving and promoting Thai textiles, handicrafts, and weaving wisdom recognized internationally and now foundational to contemporary Thai design and fashion.
Another key element of the collection reimagines the concept of "weaving" through contemporary design, drawing inspiration from the Chak Saan pattern, a wisdom present across diverse Asian cultures, and blending it with Asanoha, traditional Japanese art, creating a unified visual language.
