Thailand's national football team is preparing to compete in the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026, a new regional championship tournament organized by FIFA, scheduled to run from September 24 to October 3, 2026, coinciding with FIFA international match windows.
Countries interested in purchasing live broadcast rights face steep costs. FIFA is charging a production fee of up to $3 million USD, or roughly 98.9 million baht, to cover all 20 matches across Division 1 and Division 2.
The FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026 will feature 14 teams split into two divisions. Division 1 will be held in Indonesia, with Group A comprising Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and India (invited team), and Group B featuring Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Pakistan (invited team). Division 2 will be held in Hong Kong, with Group A including Hong Kong, Myanmar, and Brunei, and Group B comprising Cambodia, Laos, and Timor-Leste. Group winners from each division will advance directly to the final round in their respective divisions.
