Former abbot Tid Choti was detained and transferred to the Crime Suppression Division after police searched his quarters and gathered evidence at Putthaithaisawan Temple in Ayutthaya province. On September 10, the atmosphere at the temple remained tense following the police raid of the former abbot's quarters in connection with allegations involving temple funds. Around 8:30 p.m., as officers were detaining Tid Choti and searching for evidence, reporters encountered a man identified as Mr. A, described as a close disciple and associate of Tid Choti who appeared in CCTV footage authorities were examining. When questioned by journalists, Mr. A claimed the young woman in the video was a temple student and stated he had never witnessed or been aware of the former abbot's behavior shown in the footage. At 10:05 p.m., police led Tid Choti from his quarters to transport him to the Crime Suppression Division headquarters, placed in a police van and accompanied by a black Toyota Fortuner with officers inside, followed by a van carrying evidence and materials removed from Putthaithaisawan Temple, with several additional police vehicles in the convoy. Before boarding the vehicle, reporters attempted to ask Tid Choti whether he wished to apologize to Buddhism or express remorse for the alleged actions, but he did not respond to any questions.
