Four Students File Complaint Against Teacher Over Physical Abuse

At 12:30 a.m. on September 13, 2025, at Ayutthaya Provincial Police Station, Member of Parliament Songphol Suksamburn and special adviser Chatchai Kitttichai brought four parents and their sons to file a complaint with Deputy Investigation Officer Panya Amatya Sena. The complaint alleged that the children were physically assaulted by a music teacher at a municipality school for failing to participate in a school sports competition. The incident gained attention after parents learned details from their children and information circulated on social media. The parents have requested that authorities investigate and pursue legal action if wrongdoing is confirmed.

Ms. Buus, 31, mother of a fifth-grade student referred to as "A," revealed that she received a call from another parent asking if she knew her son had been kicked by the teacher. When questioned, the child disclosed that he was kicked in the stomach and back and struck by the teacher. The incident occurred on September 11 after the child did not inform his parents about or attend the sports competition. When the child returned to school, the teacher questioned him and then assaulted him. All four children reported being taken to the music room and threatened with a knife.

After learning what happened, the teacher visited the family to apologize, claiming the incident resulted from stress related to sports day preparations due to the lack of students volunteering to carry signage. However, Ms. Buus stated she wants the matter formally investigated and pursued legally.

Student "A" recounted that after missing school for two days, when he returned, the teacher kicked him twice from behind, then took him to the music room, pressed down on his head, and pointed a knife at his chest. This occurred with all four students present.

Student "A" said he felt frightened and did not dare tell his parents because he was threatened not to tell anyone. He only revealed what happened after his parents learned about the incident.

Ms. Porn, 43, mother of a sixth-grade student referred to as "B," said she learned of the incident when picking up her son from school. The child asked if police could arrest the teacher and mentioned that the teacher had pointed a knife at him. After gathering more details and speaking with other parents, she confirmed that all four children reported similar experiences.

Ms. Porn stated that the teacher apologized and admitted to overreacting, but she cannot accept such conduct, particularly the use of a knife to threaten the children and pressing down on their heads. She is demanding legal action.

Student "B" explained that he had not participated in the sports event because he overslept. When he returned to school the next day, the teacher called him to a classroom, pulled a knife from a cabinet, and asked threateningly, "Do you want to die?" The teacher then pointed the knife at him and pressed down on his head while scolding him for not attending the activity.

Student B stated he had experienced similar treatment previously.
