Fugitive Named Ko Arrested in Chiang Mai
A 48-year-old fugitive wanted for premeditated murder and illegal firearms possession was arrested at a fruit orchard in Chiang Mai after police tracked him down following a tip-off on July 16.
Region 9 Police raided a fruit orchard in Chiang Mai at 6:30 a.m. on July 16, 2025, and captured Nararadet (alias "Ko"), age 48, from Khongkha District, Phatthalung. The suspect was wanted under Phatthalung Provincial Court warrant no. 291/2569, dated June 16, 2025, for evading five arrest orders. He faces charges of premeditated murder, illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, and unlawful carrying of firearms in populated areas without authorization.
Intelligence indicated on July 15 that the fugitive was hiding at a friend's fruit orchard in Chiang Mai. Police obtained a search warrant (no. 379/2569) from Chiang Mai Provincial Court on July 15 and conducted the raid the following morning. Officers surrounded the property, and when the suspect spotted police, he attempted to flee but was cornered and arrested. The homeowner cooperated and confirmed the suspect had been staying there. Police searched the premises but found no other contraband. The suspect confessed to his identity and was transferred to Mae Fak Police Station in Chiang Mai for further processing.
