Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul left Thailand on Thursday to seek investment from major artificial intelligence and technology companies, with plans to discuss trade, investment, security, and transnational crime during his China visit from July 16–20.

Anutin, who also serves as interior minister, will attend the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference in Shanghai and open a new Board of Investment office in Chengdu. Six young men who escaped from the Nakhon Ratchasima Youth Development and Protection Center stole a school pickup truck and fled to Chaiyaphum province on July 16, 2025. The group broke out of their detention facility at 5:30 a.m. by cutting through window bars during the early morning darkness, then stole an Isuzu pickup belonging to Ratchasima College around 7:00 a.m. from a location about 800 meters away.
