Thai media giant GMMTV has launched "Scarlet Heart Ullavee," a major historical fantasy series starring Tu Tontawan alongside seven of Thailand's most popular young actors. The drama follows a modern woman transported into a noblewoman's body in an ancient kingdom, where she becomes entangled in a power struggle among seven princes. The production features extensive location shooting, heavy visual effects, and a large ensemble cast, marking one of GMMTV's most ambitious projects to date.
GMMTV has finally unveiled its most ambitious period drama of the year, "Scarlet Heart Ullavee," inviting viewers into a story of love and fate set against intense power struggles and intricate palace politics. The series guarantees grand scale with a gathering of A-list stars ready to clash in fierce performances. Leading the cast is Tu Tontawan Tantivechakul as Nabun/Fongnuan, facing off against seven heartthrobs: Win Metawin Opas-iamkajorn as Mueangfa, Non Kulphat Bordee as Saenthep, Tee Tawan Vihokratana as Intharacha, Fourth Nattawat Jirochtikul as Jomharn, Phuwin Tangsakyuen as Fahm, Perth Tanapon Sukumpantanasan as Kongthai, and Foss Jirapong Srisang as Pawiang.
They are joined by a strong supporting cast including Milk Pansa Vosbein (Hongkham), Prem Chanikarn Tangkabodee (Buasai), Paan Nacha Chueadang (Daokaew), Sizzy Rattanawadee (La/Eva), Ai Sarunchana (Manithip), Kop Thongsit Rungnaphakhun (Lord Phraya Chaisenlue), Um Apasiri Niti (Thewi Sukanda), Organ Rachee (Thewi Chianglao), Tao Pitissak (Horaphromya), Namfon Sarang (Homjan), and Tak Naphatsorn (Khun In), all enriching the complex relationships of the Alavie realm under director Khanitha Kwanyu.
"Scarlet Heart Ullavee" follows Nabun (Tu), a modern woman disillusioned by love who prays for true romance, only to be thrust back in time into the body of Fongnuan (also Tu), a noblewoman of the ancient city of Alavie, forcing her into an unavoidable war among seven princes.
Tu shared her excitement: "I'm thrilled the series is finally airing after such a long, exhausting shoot. Everyone worked incredibly hard, and I know fans have been waiting. I'm happy they'll see our dedication. Working with all seven leading men was daunting — they're all top stars, and this is only my third project, so I felt like the rookie. But the chemistry among the princes is incredibly dense. Expect something fresh, with a stronger youth vibe and more GMMTV flavor. Please watch with an open heart."
Win Metawin added: "The production used extensive natural locations, which brought challenges like rain and ambient noise, extending the schedule. The detail-oriented work also required heavy CGI and graphics. The visuals are stunning, and the story is compelling. I hope audiences embrace this Thai-style adaptation — each character has their own charm, just as Thailand has its own allure. We've modernized the presentation. The entire team poured their hearts into this massive project."
