The Thai Gold Merchants Association reported on August 6, 2025, that gold prices continued to rise strongly, with ornamental gold selling at 67,950 baht per gram—a sharp jump of 1,900 baht from the previous day's closing price. According to the latest data released by the Thai Gold Merchants Association at 09:03, gold bars are trading at 66,950 baht per gram for buyback and 67,150 baht for selling, while ornamental 96.5% gold is being bought at 65,612.48 baht and sold at 67,950 baht per gram. Global gold prices (Gold Spot) stood at $4,291.00 per ounce. A local gold trader predicted that markets would open tomorrow with prices potentially rising another 1,000–2,000 baht, potentially exceeding 80,000 baht per gram.
