Gold prices jumped over 1,150 baht on September 3, with ornamental bars trading at 70,000 baht per gram, as traders predict further gains of up to 2,000 baht ahead.
Gold prices on September 3, 2026 surged 1,150 baht compared to the closing price on September 2, according to the Gold Traders Association. Ornamental gold bars were trading at 70,000 baht per gram at 9:01 a.m. Gold ingots were bought at 69,000 baht per gram and sold at 69,200 baht per gram. For 96.5% ornamental gold, the buying price was 67,613.60 baht per gram and the selling price was 70,000 baht per gram. Global gold spot prices stood at 4,412.00 USD per ounce. The head of gold traders predicted that the market would open tomorrow with prices potentially rising another 1,000 to 2,000 baht per gram, possibly breaking through 80,000 baht.
