Thai AirAsia Launches Free Senior Passenger Benefits

Thai AirAsia has introduced complimentary benefits for passengers aged 60 and above traveling on domestic routes. Senior passengers can now check in at a dedicated counter, receive their baggage first at the destination, and enjoy adjacent seating (subject to standard seat availability) at no extra charge. Passengers need only present their national ID card at the check-in counter, and one accompanying traveler can also benefit from the same privileges.

Thansita Akridphirom, commercial director of Thai AirAsia, stated that the airline prioritizes service quality for senior passengers, who are valued and loyal customers. The airline has added these special benefits to make travel more convenient for both senior passengers and their families, ensuring they receive dedicated care and attention when choosing to fly Thai AirAsia.

The airline has recently trained ground and cabin staff to better understand and care for older travelers. These benefits apply to all domestic flights, particularly as the year-end tourism season approaches and passenger numbers increase. Having dedicated check-in channels and services will allow senior passengers and their families to travel comfortably from departure to arrival airport, Thansita said.

At Don Mueang Airport, senior passengers can check in at dedicated Counter 10J in the domestic terminal, Building 2, where staff will provide assistance. At other airports, passengers can identify the senior service counter by its symbol or ask staff for help. Upon check-in, passengers receive a special tag on their checked baggage to ensure they receive it quickly at their destination.
