Good Deed Foundation Ousts President, Halts Donations Amid Building Fund Probe

The Good Deed Organization Foundation has decided to remove Bum Panadda from her position as foundation president and announced a halt to accepting donations through all channels. The foundation also issued a clarification regarding the construction of its building in Rangsit Khlong 8, Pathum Thani province. The foundation explained that Bum Panadda, as president, had overseen construction of office buildings, storage facilities for donated coffins, parking areas, and staff accommodation. This was deemed necessary to store donated goods, equipment, and to support rescue and volunteer teams during disasters, as well as to provide temporary shelter for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

In practice, a person close to Bum Panadda volunteered to manage the entire construction project. Bum, as president, approved construction payments as reported by the project coordinator, transferring funds directly to contractors. The actual construction budget is still under verification as the project remains incomplete, and the close associate holds all construction documents. The foundation has been unable to contact the coordinator to retrieve documents for audit. Some completed sections are already in use, including roads, storage facilities, and office buildings.

After suspicious information emerged regarding the construction project and payments, the foundation will conduct an investigation. If any clear wrongdoing is found, legal action will be taken immediately. Regarding public reports that a contractor denied knowledge of receiving construction payments transferred by the foundation under Bum Panadda, the foundation is gathering facts to verify the truth and will proceed with legal steps.
