Thanyaburi Municipality Halts Foundation Construction, Orders Financial Audit
Thanyaburi Subdistrict Municipality has ordered the Do Good Foundation in Pathum Thani to stop construction and vacate buildings due to permit violations, while the provincial government demands three years of financial records amid concerns about fund misuse. Authorities posted multiple legal notices at the foundation's compound, citing unauthorized structures and potential breaches of foundation regulations.
On November 7, 2026, reporters provided an update on the Do Good Foundation case. Thanyaburi Subdistrict Municipality, Pathum Thani, posted three notices dated November 6, 2026, at the foundation's entrance in Moo 4, Lam Phak Kut Subdistrict, Thanyaburi District (Khlong 8). The site features a perimeter wall over 6 meters high with land filled about 1 meter high, backing onto Khlong 8 irrigation canal.
The first notice orders suspension of construction, alteration, demolition, or relocation of buildings under Section 40(1) for lack of permission or notification from local officials, and for non-compliance with approved plans and conditions.
The second notice prohibits use or entry into any part of the buildings or areas under construction, alteration, demolition, or relocation under Section 40(2) for the same reasons.
The third notice orders submission of permit applications, notifications, or corrective actions for construction under Section 41, again citing lack of permission and non-compliance.
All three notices were also posted at the foundation's first office building, the shrine building (Foo Thien Kong Shrine), and three large buildings used as offices and a coordination center for the curry rice shop aid program.
Signed by Chaiwat Leenawarat, Deputy Mayor acting as Mayor of Thanyaburi Subdistrict.
Additionally, Pathum Thani province posted a notice on the three large office buildings at 52/19, citing a letter to foundation chairwoman Panadda Wongphudi demanding operational reports and financial documents for the past three years. The Department of Provincial Administration requested the review after media reports raised public doubts about the foundation's financial transfers and operations potentially violating its objectives and legal regulations.
The foundation's head office at 52/19 falls under the jurisdiction of the Pathum Thani Foundation Registrar, who has authority to inspect under Section 128 of the Civil and Commercial Code. Pathum Thani province invoked the Ministerial Regulation on Foundation Registration B.E. 2545, Section 13, requiring submission of three document sets: retrospective balance sheets, income-expense reports, and meeting minutes.
