Pooh and Pavel lead the cast in the blessing ceremony for 'THE GRIM LOVER', a dramatic tearjerker that challenges them with radically different roles. They admit feeling pressured.
On October 26, CHANGE2561 held the blessing ceremony for the new series 'THE GRIM LOVER' (Love Until Death) at GMM Grammy Place, led by executives and a talented cast. The popular couple Pooh-Krittin and Pavel-Nares headline, ready to test their acting limits with an intense storyline blending drama, tears, and deep relationships. At the event, the two opened up about the challenges of their new roles.
"Lots of crying scenes, a lot of tears?" Pavel: "With a drama like this, you really hone your acting skills. In our previous two projects, Pooh and I had many scenes together, but not this many. Here we're together in practically every scene. It's a lot of crying." Pooh: "In 'Sing My Crush', many characters enter the story, but a grim reaper doesn't meet many others — just the one person. So we're together constantly, in the condo, in our rooms, at home, because he can't go meet anyone else." Pavel: "So the activities end up being mostly in the condo."
"Why must your love be such a drama, and the central pivot of the story?" Pavel: "We start by losing a loved one — losing this person. Then out of the blue you meet a grim reaper with the same face as your ex. That naturally adds a layer of complexity."
"What about your side?" Pooh: "Mine is comedic at first — pure comedy. Racha starts off comedic, which makes him sad, heartbroken. Then suddenly a lookalike appears and becomes a grim reaper to help him." "Your character sounds like heavy drama. What about yours?" Pooh: "Mine has drama too, because the two characters have been intertwined for a long time. There are deep relationship moments, plus scenes highlighting charm, flirtation, and comedy." "Why does the grim reaper have to be handsome?" Pooh: "Otherwise he wouldn't fall for him. But it's not a tactic to make someone fall in love with a grim reaper." Pavel: "The grim reaper has no magic, so he relies on his looks."
"Playing two characters?" Pooh: "I play a doctor — two very different characters. Racha is like a fiancé about to get married, ring and all, wedding ready, but an accident happens first. Meanwhile, 14 is a grim reaper without feelings — still, cold, everything frozen. That lets him see our face looking exactly like Racha, yet everything is completely different."
"Hard to act with CGI?" Pooh: "Oh, super easy. I don't have to do much; they handle it. I just show up." "Got the visualization ready?" Pooh: "Yeah, I love superhero movies. Think 'Avengers: Endgame' — 14 fits right in."
"And the doctor side?" Pavel: "I play a forensic pathologist. It's tough — the opening scene has lots of technical details, with a medical professor supervising every relevant scene." "Harder to embody than previous roles?" Pavel: "This character feels completely different from the last two. Those were confident; this one is insecure, panicked, depressed — lots of self-harm." "So you have to convey everything through your eyes?" Pavel: "Exactly. The eyes do a lot of heavy lifting. It's fun, actually."
"Where's the pressure in this project?" Pavel: [interview continues]
