Gulf Energy donates air quality monitoring and wildfire suppression equipment to Thailand's Ministry of Natural Resources for transfer to Myanmar, helping combat cross-border haze and forest fires affecting both nations.
Gulf Development Public Company Limited (GULF) continues its commitment to sustainable business practices by donating air quality monitoring equipment and wildfire suppression equipment to Thailand's Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment for transfer to the Myanmar Union. The initiative aims to enhance surveillance, monitoring, and control of forest fires in high-risk areas while reducing the impact of transboundary haze and PM2.5 pollution to improve air quality for people in both countries, in line with the government's CLEAR Sky Strategy.
Sitthimon Ratanawadet, Director of Strategic Planning at GULF, represented the private sector in presenting the equipment, with Dr. Raviwan Phuridet, Permanent Secretary of Thailand's Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, and Dr. Taw Nyein Oo, Deputy Minister of Myanmar's Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, officially receiving the donation.
