Thailand Opens Online Cross-Office Land Registry Service in 77 Provinces
Thailand has launched online cross-office land registry services across all 77 provinces, allowing citizens to submit property registration requests at any convenient location instead of traveling to their local land office.
On August 6, Deputy Government Spokesperson Ploythale Laksameesangchan announced that the government is prioritizing digital government development by using technology to solve problems and create genuine benefits for citizens. This includes reducing unnecessary steps, linking data between agencies, and designing services based on public and business needs to streamline procedures and eliminate duplicate document submissions or multiple agency visits.
The Department of Land, under the Ministry of Interior, has rolled out electronic land office services with online cross-office capability covering all 77 provinces across 462 offices nationwide. Bangkok's land office and 16 branches have been upgraded to fully electronic systems. Officials, registrars, applicants, contract parties, and witnesses can now sign electronically in the system to improve work efficiency, reduce paperwork, and enhance service quality.
Citizens can submit land rights and deed registration requests at any convenient land office without traveling to the office where their land is located, subject to Department of Land guidelines. This reduces travel burden, time, and costs. Interested users can apply through the e-QLands Plus mobile application (iOS and Android) by selecting "Book Queue for Online Cross-Office Registration." The service applies to rights and deeds without public announcement or survey that are supported by land title documents. For details, contact the DOL Call Center at 0 2141 5555.
