The Meteorological Department's 24-hour weather forecast warns of heavy to severe rain in scattered areas across Thailand, with the Northeast region particularly at risk due to a monsoon trough moving through northern Thailand and Laos meeting a low-pressure system near Vietnam's northern coast. Residents are urged to be alert for dangers from heavy to very heavy rainfall and accumulated water, which may trigger flash floods and flash floods, especially in foothill areas near water channels and low-lying regions. Bangkok and surrounding areas will see thunderstorms in 60 percent of the area, mostly between afternoon and evening, with temperatures ranging from 26–28°C (low) to 33–36°C (high). The North will experience thunderstorms in 60 percent of areas with heavy rain in some spots around Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lampang, Lamphun, Phayao, Nan, Tak, and Uttaradit, with temperatures of 23–27°C (low) to 31–36°C (high). The Northeast will see thunderstorms in 60 percent of areas with heavy rain in parts of Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Mukdahan, and Ubon Ratchathani, ranging from 23–26°C (low) to 29–35°C (high). The Central region will have 40 percent coverage of thunderstorms with heavy rain in Kanchanaburi and Ratchaburi, temperatures 24–26°C (low) to 34–37°C (high). The East will experience thunderstorms in 60 percent of areas with heavy rain in Prachuap Khiri Khan, Rayong, and Chanthaburi, and very heavy rain in Nakhon Nayok and Trat, with sea waves around 2 meters, higher during thunderstorms. The South (east coast) will have 60 percent thunderstorms with heavy rain mainly in Chumphon, Surat Thani, Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat, with sea waves around 1 meter offshore, 1–2 meters farther out, and higher during storms. The South (west coast) will see 60 percent thunderstorms with heavy rain mainly in Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket, Trang, and Satun, with sea waves 2–3 meters from Phang Nga northward and around 2 meters southward from Phuket, with higher waves during thunderstorms.
