Thai YouTuber Found Dead in Georgia Hotel, Autopsy Underway
Thai YouTuber Hulun Solo was found dead in a Georgia hotel room 10 days after checking in, with authorities conducting an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
A Thai translator in Georgia has disclosed that police are performing an autopsy on Hulun Solo, a young Thai survival YouTuber who died 10 days ago in a hotel in Georgia's capital. He checked in to the hotel but never left his room, and hotel reception discovered his body when staff entered. The phuttatalk channel released a video titled "Open Camera, Solve the Mystery of Hulun's Death—Georgian Police Reveal What Happened in the Room on July 19, with Results on July 30."
Hulun's close friend was interviewed about his travel habits, noting that he would normally reply to messages within 2–3 days, but this time went silent for about two weeks without responding to any messages. The friend said, "At first I didn't think much of it, but when he posted about going missing, I checked our chat and realized he hadn't answered me at all. That's when I started feeling something was strange." The friend also mentioned that this was the first trip where he didn't ask Hulun about his plans in advance, and that Hulun had planned to hire a local guide but provided no details this time.
Boy, a Thai translator based in Georgia, outlined the timeline of events. He explained that a Thai restaurant owner asked him to help locate Hulun. Boy first checked with immigration authorities and confirmed Hulun was still in Georgia. He contacted the tourism police and local police to file a missing-person report. When he went to the airport police station, officers informed him that Hulun had died 10 days earlier and that an autopsy was underway to determine the cause of death. Hotel staff confirmed that Hulun had checked in, never left his room, and was found dead by reception when they went to check on him. Boy learned that Hulun had arrived in Georgia on the night of July 13. After filing a missing-person report and coordinating with the Thai consulate, the police transferred the body for autopsy, and the case was handed over to consular officials.
