Hospital Apologizes After Nurse Posts Inappropriate Comments About Patient
Payakkhaphum Hospital apologized after a nurse posted inappropriate comments about a deceased patient on social media, issuing a warning to the staff member and pledging to prevent similar incidents.
On August 18, Payakkhaphum Hospital in Maha Sarakham issued a statement following a social media incident in which one of its nurses posted inappropriate comments about a patient in Khon Kaen province. The hospital expressed deep regret to the deceased patient's family and the incident itself, and offered a formal apology. The hospital stated it does not condone inappropriate use of social media in any form and confirmed that it has already issued a warning to the staff member involved, while instructing all personnel not to make similar inappropriate comments again.
Meanwhile, the nurse in question posted her own apology, stating: "I sincerely apologize to Rattiya Pabunreung, Tle Pattanapong, and your entire family. I am a professional nurse and feel the deepest regret and sense of guilt over the error that occurred during your care on August 15, 2025. I acknowledge that this incident was my own mistake and failure. I understand the pain, worry, and suffering your family is experiencing, and no words can adequately make up for it. To prevent similar incidents from happening to anyone else, I am ready to listen to all your feelings, questions, and concerns with sincerity and offer my deepest apologies."
