Hospital Denies VIP Parking After Luxury Cars Row

Phetchburi Hospital management has addressed the controversy surrounding multiple luxury supercars and high-end vehicles lined up outside its main entrance. After photos circulated online showing the vehicles in emergency parking areas while ordinary visitors struggled to find spaces, hospital director Dr. Kob Chai Jirchanchae and his team issued a statement explaining the sequence of events.

Two separate incidents occurred. On the night of September 22, an emergency accident patient was transferred from Lom Kao Hospital accompanied by four supercars belonging to friends of the patient. Security briefly permitted parking in front of the Somdet Ya sign—an emergency zone—due to the late hour and light traffic, and all vehicles left by midnight. The following day at 11 a.m. on September 23, another group of supercars arrived and parked in a line along the hospital's main traffic route. Security staff approached and warned them that parking was prohibited, but the drivers ignored the warning, claiming they needed to visit a patient quickly. They then left their vehicles unattended for approximately 30-40 minutes before departing.

Management acknowledged gaps in their response, noting that the director was away on provincial business that day and the on-duty security officer acted alone. The incident was not immediately reported through standard channels to the management team, preventing them from sending reinforcement in time. Hospital policy requires a graduated response—starting with warnings and requests for cooperation before resorting to wheel locks for vehicles parked for many hours. The hospital stressed there were no executive orders granting VIP parking privileges and that all vehicles, whether supercars or farm trucks, face the same enforcement rules.
