Interior Ministry Denies Corruption Claims in District Chief Exam
The Interior Ministry denied allegations that district chief exam candidates were asked to pay bribes, stating the 2568 selection process followed all legal procedures. Authorities are investigating the claims and welcomed public complaints
On September 4, 2569, the Department of Interior (DOI) issued a statement regarding allegations about the 2568 District Chief Training Programme entrance exam. The DOI addressed claims circulating on social media that candidates were allegedly asked to pay 3 million baht each.
The DOI clarified that the exam selection process for civil servants to enter the 2568 District Chief Training Programme ran from February to April 2568 and was conducted in full compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and procedures, adhering to principles of accuracy, transparency, and fairness.
After a preliminary fact-check by the DOI, no evidence has emerged suggesting that officials or anyone involved in the exam process demanded money or other benefits from candidates. The matter is currently under investigation by relevant authorities, and the DOI has submitted all relevant information, facts, documents, and evidence to the investigating agencies.
The DOI invited anyone who suffered harm or has evidence of wrongdoing related to the exam to report it to the appropriate authorities and file complaints with investigators. The department welcomed a full legal review of all exam procedures to build confidence among civil servants and the public.
