Jedsada Technique Museum Holds Sufficiency Economy Financial Planning Seminar
The Jedsada Technique Museum Foundation held a seminar on financial planning based on King Bhumibol’s sufficiency economy philosophy, attended by Bangkok Bank executives and foundation advisors. Participants discussed how to apply the principles of moderation, reasonableness and immunity to cope with economic, social and technological changes. The foundation also highlighted its home‑grown vegetable project and the importance of understanding AI for prudent investing.
The seminar, held at the foundation’s headquarters on Somdet Phra Pinklao Road, featured speakers from Bangkok Bank including Dr. Satit Phongthanya, Senior Vice President and Head of Family Wealth Solution; Watcharachai Sawadichai, Vice President of Family Wealth Solution; Kittikorn Lim Mongkhon, CFA Financial Consultant; and Nongying Sukchoen, Private Banker. Also present were branch managers from the Hua Lamphong office: Duangjai Suk sombut, Jumjata Athaveekul, and Nantapak Thammasiri.
Members of the foundation’s advisory council joined as well: General Worawit Chinas Na Win, Lieutenant Colonel Banpong Ngamganha, Yongjit Sunthon-wichan, Apisit Thamjai, Supchun Onboonmee, Suchada Lourot, and Parima Boonphakdee. Participants exchanged views on applying the sufficiency economy’s three pillars — moderation, reasonableness, and immunity — to personal finance, work and investment, stressing the need for knowledge, virtue and prudence.
Dr. Pakapoom added that he promotes a home‑grown vegetable initiative called the “Lun Teng Garden” near the museum’s new site, where staff grow cucumbers, beans, pumpkins, chilies, lettuce, bok choy, long beans and basil after work and share the harvest to reduce household expenses. He also urged staff to study artificial intelligence thoroughly so it can be used wisely alongside cautious investment, and noted that future monetary systems — whether fiat or cryptocurrency — will require careful risk assessment.
