Kaan Tong has revealed the song's origins: 'Gaebun' was intentionally created to bridge two previous songs and serve as the debut single of her first album. After discussing with producer Bank, who composed the viral hit 'Gulap,' she was honored by his enthusiasm for collaboration. He quickly composed an uplifting song offering hope to those seeking new love—people who believed they were done with romance but still secretly yearned for the right partner.

Following its release, 'Gaebun' received overwhelming response and went viral nationwide, becoming so popular that even Kaan Tong was surprised and danced the 'gaebun' in celebration.

The song is now nominated for Most Popular Song at the FEED x Khaosod Awards 2026.
