Kantana Launches Thailand's First AI Lead Couple for Vertical Series

Kantana has created a sensation by unveiling Thailand's first AI leading man and woman, set to debut in a vertical series. The pair consists of actress Kankanok Kanta (KAN), described as beautiful, elegant, intelligent, confident, and warm with versatile acting skills, and actor Than Kanta (THAN), characterized as warm, polite, intelligent, disciplined, composed, and humorous.

Both are equipped with diverse abilities spanning film, drama, series, advertising, virtual production, and digital media, with goals to become Digital Human Artists capable of working internationally. The surname "Kanta" was inspired by Kantana but designed to be short, memorable, and universal, potentially serving as a brand name for future AI creations under Kantana's umbrella. The project marks a significant step in integrating AI technology with entertainment content production.

As a forward-thinking content producer, Kantana has designed both AI characters with distinct personalities, appearances, and characteristics, positioning them as leads in vertical series—a rapidly growing format in the global digital content market. Their first series will deliver an emotionally rich narrative spanning love, drama, and relationships through concise storytelling tailored to modern mobile-first audiences.

Beyond acting, Kantana plans for the pair to interact with fans through digital platforms and participate in future entertainment activities and marketing campaigns. Tukta Kantana (Tukta Jitrlada Kaljurek), Kantana's founder, explained the project concept: "The content world is changing rapidly. AI is not replacing human creativity but serving as a tool to expand imagination and create new storytelling opportunities. We want this project to be another milestone for Thai entertainment, proving that Thai creators can produce cutting-edge work. The AI couple's development focuses not just on realistic appearance but on personality, character, and emotional expression so viewers can naturally connect with and participate in the story."

The launch has generated interest from drama fans and tech followers alike, reflecting Kantana's vision to drive the Thai entertainment industry through innovation and opening a new era where technology and art merge to create unique viewer experiences. The first vertical series starring both AI leads is currently in preparation for an official launch soon.
