Karnchai Questions Boom Panadda Over 200 Million Baht Transfers

Media personality Karnchai, testifying as a witness in the Central Investigation Bureau's probe of influencer Boom Panadda, revealed discrepancies in donation-account timestamps and a complex web of large transfers involving three accounts linked to Boom. He publicly demanded she explain allegations that over 200 million baht went to her husband and over 300 million remained in her personal account, stating the financial trail contradicts her claims of ignorance and urging her to fully disclose all transactions to her legal team.

Karnchai said he felt deep unease after seeing the extensive money trails. "What makes me extremely uncomfortable is that I want Khun Boom to come out and clarify. I really want to know — how can she not be shocked when there are money trails from her foundation to the charity organization and then out to another person, and then to a man close to her? Don't say more than that, it's not good. What did you buy with it? The police know everything. What did you do? What expenses did you pay?" (Dr. Muay: "This matches what many people said at the DSI and what Khun Phut said about branded bags, right?") "It matches."

"Some people tell me I keep talking, that I'm grandstanding. You didn't see what I saw. I'm the one who transferred the money, the one summoned by police. They asked if I'd be a witness or a victim, but I said I'd be a witness, not a victim. Then I went and saw the evidence — after checking my own records and reporting them, the details are far more extensive than this. I can't speak about it; it wouldn't be appropriate. The police will disclose it themselves."

"I'm speaking about my own disappointment. The facts don't align with what I heard from Boom. She doesn't have to talk to anyone else, but she must tell everything to her lawyer because she can't shut the lawyer out. She has to disclose it all — where the money went, where she flew, what she paid for — because the money trail points the way."

Karnchai asked directly: "Is it true over 200 million was transferred to her husband? Everyone says there were transfers to the husband totaling over 200 million — is that true, Boom? You must explain. Is it true Boom herself has over 300 million sitting in her personal account?"

Karnchai urged Boom to verify the money trails, because all he has heard is her claiming ignorance. "Boom needs to check — those 3-million-baht bags she bought, are they real? I can't discuss this further because it's a police matter. We never heard any of this from Boom before — only that she knew nothing. Now with figures like these, Boom must explain. She has to tell her lawyer — her life insurance premiums, how many share portfolios she bought, and much more. Boom, go clarify. From what I've heard, seen, and learned, I try to think: was Boom framed? A coin has two sides. Boom must explain. Has she been charged or not? Just that. Shocking or not?"

Thailand's Joint Standing Committee on Commerce, Industry and Banking raised the 2026 GDP growth forecast to 2.4-2.6% and export growth to 18-22%, citing strong technology manufacturing and AI investment. However, the committee warned of a deepening K-shaped recovery where high import content limits domestic benefits, while lower-tier businesses struggle with weak demand. The KKG also endorsed higher excise taxes on imported EVs to protect the domestic auto industry and urged strict enforcement against illegal industrial waste dumping.
