King Appoints 16 Professors at Eight Leading Universities

The Royal Gazette published a royal decree appointing 16 professors from eight prestigious universities on September 20, 2025. The Prime Minister's Office issued two separate announcements covering the appointments of university and institute staff from Kasetsart University, Mahasarakham University, Khon Kaen University, Chulalongkorn University, Chiang Mai University, Thammasat University, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, and Huachiew Chalermprakiet University to the rank of professor in various academic disciplines, effective from when each candidate met full qualifications.

At Kasetsart University: Associate Professor Tharawit Sathapnajaru of the Faculty of Environment was appointed professor in environmental science. At Mahasarakham University: Associate Professor Suraphol Saensuk of the Forest Genetics Institute was appointed professor in botany. At Khon Kaen University: Associate Professor Nonglak Meethong of the Faculty of Science was appointed professor in materials science; Associate Professor Nanyathiwat Pondi of the Faculty of Engineering was appointed professor in mechanical engineering; Associate Professor Wipawi Heepkaew of the Faculty of Medicine was appointed professor in human anatomy; and Associate Professor Siriporn Prungwitthaya of the Faculty of Medical Technology was appointed professor in medical technology. At Chulalongkorn University: Associate Professor Parim Oichai of the Faculty of Dentistry was appointed professor in pediatric dentistry; Associate Professor Suwit Bunyavechchivin of the Faculty of Medicine was appointed professor in obstetrics and gynecology; Associate Professor Picha Chongvivatsukul of the Faculty of Engineering was appointed professor in civil engineering; Associate Professor Kesachat Ueapirojkij of the Faculty of Medicine was appointed professor in anesthesiology; Associate Professor Kueakaran Krusung of the Faculty of Science was appointed professor in biochemistry.
