Family Seeks Swift Police Action in Convenience Store Worker's Death Case

The family of Pim, a 24-year-old convenience store worker found dead in a dormitory room in Udon Thani, has brought her body back to her hometown in Nong Khai amid deep sorrow. Her mother is pleading with police to arrest the suspect before the cremation ceremony, hoping to bring her daughter's killer to account. On September 19, 2025, authorities reported finding Pim's body in a dormitory in Ban Luem subdistrict, Muang district, Udon Thani province. Police are actively investigating the case, treating it as a potential homicide while the family believes she was murdered. The investigation team is gathering witness testimony and forensic evidence. Today, the family brought Pim's body to her birthplace in Sangkhom subdistrict, Sangkhom district, Nong Khai province for religious ceremonies. Family, relatives, neighbors, and friends have gathered to mourn. Nong Khai Governor Saran Srikrueanetr arranged for Sangkhom District Officer Nuan Thobut to present condolences and support to the family. On September 20, 2025, the family will conduct the funeral rites, after which Pim's ashes will be enshrined at Siwalai Temple following local Isan tradition as a memorial place for the family to pay respects.
Tong, 25, Pim's close friend since childhood, shared his shock at learning of her death and expressed concern about online comments speculating about her death. He noted that some commenters seemed to know more details than close family members and suggested those making unfounded accusations could face legal action. He urged people to base their comments on facts.
Pim's mother, speaking through tears, said she has been unable to come to terms with losing her daughter.
