The Irrigation Department Region 13 has issued a warning that water levels downstream of Mae Klong Dam are expected to rise further. The department is urging residents in riverside and low-lying areas to move belongings, vehicles, and livestock to higher ground in advance and to monitor official alerts closely. On September 27, the Irrigation Department Region 13 office in Kanchanaburi warned that downstream water levels may increase again, with water discharge through the dam potentially reaching 1,500 cubic meters per second due to continuing flood inflows. If discharge reaches that level, water levels in the Mae Klong River downstream areas covering Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, and Samut Songkhram provinces will rise further, with risk of riverbank overflow in low-lying areas. Residents in riverside and low-lying areas should urgently move belongings, vehicles, and livestock to higher ground and monitor official warning announcements.
