Police say Italian tourists can be prosecuted for making obscene gestures at Thai passengers on the BTS, as a viral video sparked heated online debate over the incident's appropriateness and whether victims could pursue legal action. Deputy National Police Chief Pol. Lt. Gen. Trairong Phiwpharn stated on July 25 that if victims believe the tourists' conduct constitutes insult, discrimination, or violation of human dignity, they may file a complaint and pursue legal proceedings under Thai law, since the incident occurred within Thai territory and applies equally to foreigners and Thai nationals alike. The loud behavior on the public BTS system could also violate service regulations or related laws; the video and photos circulating on social media serve as key evidence that authorities can use in case proceedings, while visa cancellation decisions rest with immigration authorities if they find the tourists' conduct meets legal criteria. Actors Tu Bhopthon Suntaranyakij and Lukhuwa Pichiga Jittaputta, attending the Sky Castle Thailand World Premiere at SF World Cinema in Central World, shared their perspectives on the incident and called for serious intervention by authorities.

The entertainment and music industries have expressed concern about the fire. Tu said: "First, I want to express condolences to the families of those affected. This is something that should never happen. I believe the key issue to address is stricter inspection of all venues—restaurants, pubs, hotels, and others. While there are laws in place that businesses must follow, there also needs to be a monitoring component to ensure they comply. I've played at many venues where I felt unsafe for myself and the audience. If an emergency occurred, we wouldn't be able to evacuate in time. Not all venues have proper knowledge of safety protocols. It should start with educating business owners before they open, not shutting them down after the fact. Clear regulations must be communicated to operators."

Lukhuwa added: "Yes, every venue needs to be aware this can happen. They need to check sprinkler systems and other safety equipment. Fire drills should be mandatory. Business owners need to be more conscious of these responsibilities."

When asked if they had experienced similar incidents, Lukhuwa said: "Not yet, though there have been times when fights broke out at pubs and we had to evacuate. That was when people were drunk."

Tu said: "Each incident serves as a reminder. Every time I enter a venue, I check for emergency exits and capacity limits. Sometimes venues are overcrowded, which is inevitable. Trampling can happen in an emergency. We encounter this regularly because we perform at nightlife venues often, but fortunately, we haven't experienced a disaster yet."

When asked if the incident makes them hesitant to take future work, Tu replied: "I don't think people should view it that way. As performers and as members of the public, we can't avoid going out. We should simply be more aware and mindful of our surroundings. When we go to crowded venues, we should note where the exits are. It's about maintaining awareness."

Police from the Technology Crime Suppression Division have unmasked a prominent dark web influencer operating under the name "Jao Nai" on X, who lured a 17-year-old into producing explicit videos for sale in private online groups and OnlyFans, charging subscribers for access. The suspect, 25-year-old Thanyakorn (surname withheld), was arrested on July 25, 2025, at a condominium in the Ramkhamhaeng area of Bangkok's Prawet District following investigation into suspicious activity on his X account, which had amassed 246,646 followers.

Investigators discovered the suspect employed a "secret group marketing" strategy, posting short explicit videos to attract interest and directing followers to join locked accounts and his OnlyFans page, where subscribers paid to access full content. Once payment was verified, users were added to the private groups. The investigation revealed the suspect had specifically recruited a 17-year-old girl to film explicit videos for distribution and profit, constituting human trafficking and child sexual abuse material production.

Officers obtained arrest and search warrants from the Phra Khanong Criminal Court and raided the condominium, seizing two mobile phones and lighting equipment used to produce high-quality explicit content for sale. Examination of the devices revealed numerous explicit images and videos, along with evidence of membership fee transfers. The suspect operated a structured membership system through locked X accounts and OnlyFans, generating hundreds of thousands of baht in revenue from the illegal enterprise.

On July 25, the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation clarified that following social media reports, the owner of the PTT fuel station in Ban Phuea, Khantharawichai District, Sisaket Province, had filed a complaint with the parliamentary committee on disaster management seeking government compensation for damage caused by foreign military action on July 24. The convenience store at the fuel station suffered 3,056,016 baht in losses.

After reviewing assistance records, the department confirmed that Thaipat Insurance provided 1 million baht and PTT Public Company Limited contributed 2,056,616 baht. Visitors can learn through observation, exploration, and close interaction with the natural environment.

Another major highlight is the "Thai Butterfly Territory" garden, which features live Thai butterfly displays. The area includes an outdoor butterfly garden, butterfly house, and outdoor exhibition that convey knowledge about butterfly life cycles, diversity, adaptation, and their ecological role. The garden showcases at least 30 species of Thai butterflies and host plants, including the Leopard Lacewing, Lemon Emigrant, Lime Butterfly, and Plain Tiger, allowing visitors to experience nature's beauty while learning about Thai butterflies up close.
