A Matter of Life and Death: CCTV Footage Shows Woman Hit by Speeding Car While Opening Vehicle Door
A woman suffered severe head injuries when struck by a speeding black Toyota as she opened her parked car door outside a window tinting shop in Ayutthaya's Bang Pa-in District.
CCTV cameras captured the harrowing moment a woman was struck by a high-speed sedan while opening her car door. The white Mitsubishi Mirage was parked outside a window tinting shop at Somailand 2 housing estate on Highway 3056 in Bang Pa-in District, Ayutthaya Province, when a black Toyota suddenly collided with it. After impact, both vehicles skidded in opposite directions as the woman was thrown violently to the ground, sustaining serious injuries.
Deputy Captain Nakrop Choptathan, investigation deputy at Bang Pa-in Police Station's Sinthiwattani branch, arrived at the scene and coordinated with rescue teams and the Ayutthaya United Hearts Association to assist the injured woman.
At the scene, a white Mitsubishi Mirage (Bangkok plate 3ต 2297) was found on the sidewalk with severe damage. A black Toyota (Bangkok plate 3ขค 7159) remained in the road with extensive damage to its front-left section.
The victim, a 35-year-old woman from Pathum Thani Province, sustained severe head wounds and open lacerations. Emergency responders provided first aid before rushing her to Asia Hospital.
Initial investigation revealed the woman had parked to inquire about window tinting services before returning to her vehicle when the collision occurred. Police are reviewing CCTV footage and gathering evidence for legal proceedings.
